With wedding season in full swing, we thought it would be a perfect time to come in with advice on one of the most important questions any couple faces: what wedding colors should I pick? This is a major decision that has big implications on the overall mood and color story for your wedding. Luckily, there’s no wrong answer! The Color of The Times
For late summer and fall 2025, there’s one wedding color popping up on our radar again and again, and it’s butter yellow. For the uninitiated, butter yellow is the hottest color of the summer, and we foresee it going strong into Autumn wedding season. Think ivory, but a little bit richer. It’s more yellow and less neutral, making it a great modern wedding color. However, it’s still wonderfully light and subtle, so it’s not quite as bold a statement as, say, a Mod Mediterranean wedding (which we also love dearly).
Butter Yellow: How to Style
Like any wedding color, you’ll of course have to figure out how best to incorporate butter yellow into your celebration. We think butter yellow shines because of its versatility. It’s not quite a neutral color, but it’s not so bright that a butter yellow bridesmaid’s dress looks distracting. This means that butter yellow can be your primary color, or your accent color. If we’re talking about late summer wedding color trends, it’s not just limited to butter yellow. As summer transitions into fall, we’re forecasting the color palettes getting a bit darker with some carefully-added pops of brightness.
