Beach weather is so close, we can practically taste the salty air. And the strawberries! Somewhere on our endless list of all the things that make summer terrific, you’ll find strawberry season. Yum, yum, yum. Here’s a delicious little something that can accompany you poolside. Hint: it also makes a fabulous sip for bachelorette parties and bridal showers.
Strawberry Rose Gin Fizz
Ingredients
6 strawberries
2 teaspoons sugar
8 oz gin
1 teaspoon rose water
1/2 cup club soda (or to taste)
pinch of salt
Directions
Wash, de-stem and finely dice the strawberries. Sprinkle the sugar over the top of the strawberries, and let them sit for 5 minutes. Then, mash the strawberries with a fork to release their juices. Next, fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add the strawberry mixture, gin, rose water and a pinch of salt. Shake, then divide between two glasses.
Top each glass off with club soda and squeeze a lime wedge into each glass for a little extra flavor. Pair your drink with a themed personalized Stir Stick (also a great strawberry spear) or a custom Coaster.
