The First Thing To Do When You Get Engaged

3 Jan 2018

The holidays bring much more than just cookies, candles and brightly colored lights—it's engagement season! While there is, of course, no specific time one must get engaged, what better time to pop the big question than when surrounded by family, friends and all the warm, happy festivities of the holidays.

Here at For Your Party, we have the great pleasure of working with brides and grooms during this happy time of your lives. And if there's any advice we can pass on to readers as the first thing to do post-engagement (after the bottle of bubbly) is RELAX. Wedding planning can quickly become very busy, so we highly encourage all newly engaged couples to spend at least one full week in simple engagement bliss.

And when you're ready to dip your toes into the glorious waters of wedding planning, head on over to our complete Essential Wedding Planning Checklist for a step-by-step guide to planning the big day.
